Lies!

Apparently the reports of communication between LadySaiyuki and Den of Angels/Armeleia are a total fabrication:

It has been brought to my attention that someone on LadySaiyuki’s forum has been referring to emails between LadySaiyuki and I.

as for moc and doa, neither will budge. armeleia told ls straight out she would never be allowed back on doa no matter what she did or proved and she also said that moc and ae would never retract those false statements either, I’m tempted to post the email that armeleia sent to ls, but I really think ls should post it, I’m going to call her tonight to try and get her to come back to her forum and make a public post on what has happened over the past few months. she’s been away for too long and from what I see here she’s missed.

These emails do not exist.  The sole communication between DoA and LadySaiyuki was her ban notice on DoA, which simply states that the issue is between her and Mint on Card.  We have not contacted her personally, nor has she contacted us.

I have had absolutely no contact with LadySaiyuki in over two years.  Anything produced to the contrary has been fabricated and I would consider it libelous.  I have absolutely no desire to be involved in this drama and have worked very hard to keep DoA as uninvolved as possible.   This is not “a DoA scandal;”  it is an issue that is strictly between Lady Saiyuki and Asleep Eidolon.

This is the only statement that I am going to make on this issue.  I am an uninvolved party and wish to remain so.

Edited to add: Apparently the allegations of communication between LadySaiyuki and Mint on Card are also false, according to the comment they were kind enough to leave below.

This is Jim Chan from Mint on Card, Inc. Sorry for borrowing your blog.

This is an issue that LadySaiyuki need to work with AE. LadySaiyuki never contacted us to confront us with this issue. We made it publicly known that we will facilitate her discussion with AE to plead her case with them. Even after she said horrible things about our business and me personally, we still believed that she had her rights to ultimately clear her name if she has the evidence. We have yet heard from her, nor seen a shred of solid evidence to contradict AE’s statements. LadySaiyuki’s claim of us “not budge” is totally and utterly false. There is nothing to budge if there is no communication.

Like Armeleia, we are going to be at Dollpa. We welcome anyone to come chat with us while we are there, but please, only Volk’s related subjects and/or Lindsey’s personally Volks collection. I am sure everyone who’s interested in LS’s story is reading this blog, I hope you respect our request.

As for “going after moc”, LOL.

I just… hrmn… I hate seeing so much anger on both sides of the argument.

People usually get upset and become irrational when they are caught doing something that was unwise, and I completely disagree with stealing and copying other artist’s work and claiming it’s your own. People also get upset and irrational when they are wrongly accused. So it’s really hard to tell the difference.

These arguments though seem pretty heavily based on opinion against LS. I’ve glanced at the pictures and I can see similarities, but I see similarities between lots of dolls, I see companies copying Soom’s hooves (or damn near close) more and more. Maybe she was just inspired by the sculpt and got a little too close to the original.

I’m disappointed to see how long this has been dragged out, and that there is no measure of forgiveness or moving forward on either side.

So why keep this ball rolling?

Why continue the crusade against and artist who may or may not have made a mistake?
At this point keeping track of this is just perpetuating anger in an argument that has become moot due to the impossibility of a solid outcome.

Well, for myself, 1. I’m not angry at all, and 2. I didn’t have an opinion on LS one way or the other when I started this thing. I started the blog because Den of Demons is only viewable by registered users and I wanted non-registered-DOD users to be able to see all the info people on Den of Demons were finding.

I’ll continue to post new information here as it becomes known to me, although I’m not making much of an effort to keep track of this on any particular side at this point. Sometimes things come to my attention, and when they do, I post them. It’s not a lot of effort for me, but I do think this blog is a valuable resource for people who want to know what the crap is going on with all this stuff.

Since it involves essentially zero effort on my part (I spend maybe 10 minutes a MONTH on this, and that is a generous estimate) why NOT keep up with it?
